 What's in them? FloodSax® is made of wool pulp fluff, superabsorbent polymer (sodium polacrylate, cross linked) How do I energise them? FloodSax® can be energised in the floodwater itself or in a sink, a bucket or a hosepipe. How long do they take to expand? Up to three minutes. How do I store them? FloodSax® comes vacuum packed and have a minimum shelf life of 5 years. They can be stored in a warehouse, storeroom and even under the stairs. How long do they last in storage? FloodSax® has an average shelf life of five years. Are they toxic? No, FloodSax® is not made of any toxic material. How can I dispose of them? FloodSax® is biodegradable and may be disposed of at approved waste disposal sites. Weight before expansion? Just 200 grams – and that’s a mere 7 ounces. It is lightweight for convenient deployment and storage. Weight when fully expanded? A fully expanded FloodSax® can weigh up to 23kg. Where are they made? FloodSax® is UK-manufactured and tested.
